Lenny was educated in Effingham schools and has now retired in Effingham. His active involvement with Freemasonry spans a period of 47+ years. In 1994, Brother Espie was the Deputy District Grand Lecturer for the 6th Masonic District, New Hampshire. As it pertains to the Historic Town Hall-Library preservation Project, he is an ongoing wealth of knowledge regarding the history of the building.

Effingham Preservation Society is a 501(c)3 organization established in 1999 to preserve historic buildings and landmarks in Effingham, New Hampshire. The Preservation Society has agreed to be the Fiscal Agent of the Historic Town Hall Project.
